Foxpro callers

I bought the foxpro prairie electronic caller. Any idea how effective they are for calling coyotes?

I have the Foxpro Spitfire, and it works great. Do not forget the spare batteries when it is cold out.....good luck!

The Foxpro products are definitely effective -- all the more so when you combine them with an electric decoy. With the sound (and decoy) being located away from the hunter, it allows you to keep the coyote zeroed in on something else -- which gives you a whole lot more lattitude in terms of body movement.

I've got a Spitfire model, and it works like a charm. But I still carry (and regularly use) a selection of mouth blown calls as well. Call me old school, but it's somehow more fun when I'm the one making the noise
