[/IMG][/IMG]Hey guys. Went out this morning and in less than 2 minutes I got my first one! He was about 220yards out where I stopped him with a yip and took the shot. He was easily coming in closer. Quickly threw the "coyote distress" on and 3 more came rippin in, but caught my scent. Oh well, when you are by yourself, its hard to watch everything! That was this morning, just heading out the door to see what the afternoon brings!!Hope the pics work, first time using photobucket.

Just as a note when using photobucket, just copy and paste the link from PB.....it already has the IMG tags. No need to use the IMG button on the forum.

And nice Yote BTW. :D

I was in the market for a new e-caller. I thought for ####s and giggles I`d post an ad on Kijiji. A guy an hour from me had it and only used it once. Got it for $420!! I`m using a Savage Axis 22-250 with a stock Bushnell 3x9x40 and a Rifle Basix trigger set to 2lbs pull. I reload my shells: IMR 4895 powder, CCI primers, and 55gr Hornady V-max bullets. This yote was coming in hard, I stopped him since I like the longer shots. Should have taken him when he was out closer to 400yards. I don`t reallly care to see how close I can get them in, don`t see the sport in it at close range.

Yesterday, I ran down and bought a "Jack Attack". This morning I ran out to the same place as yesterday. This guy came in within 5 minutes. I seen him a long way out and he was moving! I planted the call about 180yards out, he came withing 10ft and turned and ran about 30 yards out and stopped. As you can see in the pic, he dropped and didn`t move!

Right on Darcy, I find decoys really help seal the deal. They see that movement they are commited. Glad you put another down, Same place as the last one! WOW
Going back in the morning to see if I can get his friend that was trailing behind him that I did`nt see till after the shot.
I thought for sure as fast as he was coming in, he would have mowed over my decoy. First time use, they sure do get fixated on it. I swear, I could have started to do jumping jacks and he wouldn`t have taken his eye off that decoy.

Ha ha! Good luck. They say 3rd times the charm.

Maybe by keeping the decoy closer, You will be able to tell if you got a pair or more coming? If you want to shoot long range, Stop the farthest one and shoot him, Then try for the closer one as he leaving. Just a thought.

Hornady "Varmit Express" .22-250 55g V-max. My Tikka really likes them, Hornady Superformance are also great, but I didn't notice much difference in accuracy so I went back to the cheaper Hornady's.
