FR-8 Magazine issue

It'll hold 4 rounds not 5. The trigger guard is blocked at the front like it should be, doesn't seem to interfere with the follower or rounds at all.
The follower & spring look correct.
Trying to push the last round in, you can feel the floor plate pushing down, like it's simply a matter of there just not being enough room.

I can't think of anything to do?

I think my Israeli 762 K98 only holds 4 as well.

It's so close too. Having one round left on the stripper clips drives me nuts, along with the magazine not holding a divisible of 5 also triggers some weird ocd

The feed rails were originally machined for a 7 or 8 mm cartridge. The 7,62x51 (.308) has broader shoulders so that last round just won't fit. You could try removing some metal to make some extra space.
