Hello all,
I'm in the process of restoring a 1969 Franchi 48 AM- Magnum. It's basically a 48 AL with a steel receiver instead of aluminum and,
as some of you may well know, getting your hands on a set of Franchi friction rings can be a bit of a pain- so I was wondering: are the friction rings from the similar, almost identical, long recoil action found in the Browming Auto 5 and it's derivatives (Remington model 11 and Savage 720) compatible that found in the Franchi AL 48?
Also, does anyone know, with absolute certainty, what classification is associated to said friction rings as far as American Export laws are concerned?
Thanks,
Billy Z.
