Hi all,
Picked up this old franchi 100th anniversary edition .22, which is apparently the only rifle they made for one year in 1968.

Wondering if anybody has any experience with the takedown feature, or where to get parts. The cocking lever is home made and it's missing the follower tip in the mag. Other than that it looks pretty good.

Numrich Gun Parts has a small selection of parts for this rifle.I don't think they have the cocking lever or follower tip though. You could try Western Gun Parts in Edmonton maybe they have something.

Hey,
I picked up a non functional one last year for $25.00. Extractor is pooched. Rep parts are almost non existent unfortunately. The bolt handle is removable and is used as a tool to remove the barrel. Remove the handle by pulling it straight out and place it in the one of the holes in the barrel locking ring and turn it in a clockwise direction (from the shooters perspective). Mine was a real PITA to get loosened as all the holes had been rounded out and the barrel hadn't been removed in quite a few years as the previous owner didn't know it was a TD! once the locking ring is loose enough, you can depress the button on the left side of the receiver and pull the barrel straight out.

Hope this helps. I'm going out of town for a few days but if you shoot me a PM with your email address and I can send you some factory literature in .pdf format with some more info when I get back.
