Does anybody have or shot one of these guns? They are only available thru cabelas Canada and who makes them I can't find them on Franchi's website. There is a video review but just guessing by the yellow hulls ejected in the video they are shooting a 20 gauge. It is only 6 pounds so I am guessing it would kick pretty good in 12 gauge. It is a pretty sharp looking gun. It would be used as a hunting gun not a dedicated clay gun.

Franchi(a Beretta subsidiary)makes a quality product for the most part, generally a more economy version of a Beretta product. As a field gun it should be more than adequate for giving you years of service. With an aluminium receiver and a 6lb weight, it would should not be asked to perform clays duty.

Franchi does not make any of their product line all are out sourced to other manufactures . like the Instinct line of O/U shotguns that are made by Bettinsoli .

I have a Franchi Renaissance which is an older version of the Instinct SL of which the Acension appears to be variant. Its a solid hunting gun but is too light both in weight and construction for a competition gun. Mine has nice wood and is well fitted but the triggers are a tad heavier than I like.
