Franchi Instinct SL trigger issue

Hi,

Purchased a new 20ga Franchi Instinct SL a few months back. After 4 rounds of skeet, the first barrel (bottom) would not fire randomly. If the first barrel fired, there was no issue with the second (top). Just curious if anyone has had any issues with the trigger and/or cocking assembly with these guns. I sent it back for warranty work, just waiting to hear back from them (good service so far). Looking for some feedback just to get a better understanding if this is a common issue or an isolated case. Love the gun and plan on keeping it (if the warranty work is satisfactory) for some field hunts.

Yes, I had one with a trigger issue as well. The mechanical trigger sometimes wouldn't reset after the first barrel was fired. I took it apart and needed to file down a corner of one of the components. It fixed the issue but was a pain to figure out and then to file enough down very little at a time.
 
The strange thing with mine was if I pulled the trigger for the first shot as one normally would, it wouldnt fire the second barrel. However, if I fired the first barrel by allowing my finger to slip off the trigger, almost like flicking it, it would reset the mechanical trigger and the second barrel would then fire. It was pretty annoying until I fixed it.
 
Update - got my gun back exactly 3 weeks to the day I dropped it off. Took it to the skeet range last night and it function perfectly. Gunsmith cleaned, lubed and sharpened the sear engagement, can't complain about the after sales service and warranty.
