Franchi Momentum Elite Varmint .223

I've had a hankering lately for a .223 in a heavy barrel because it was something I have never owned. I am usually a Savage guy but hadn't found one that appealed to me. So I happened to see this on Ellwood Epps site and bought it immediately. It's a Franchi Momentum Elite Varmint in .223 with a 24" barrel and muzzle brake in midnight Bronze Cerakote. It has a 3 lug bolt with 60 degree throw.It comes with 2 magazines It also comes with an adjustable trigger and a factory installed scope rail. The synthetic stock is finished in Optifade subalpine camo. The scope is a Nikon 6x18x40 SF target model. The cheekpiece is removeable but not adjustable, which is fine because I like it the way it is.

Looks great. Heavy barrel 223’s are a lot of fun. Great choice. Keep us posted as to how it shoots

I had a look at that very same rifle at The Calgary Shooting Centre. Thats a very nice rifle! I’m curious to hear how Yours shoots!

Ellwood Epps had 2 in stock at the time and I purchased the second one. That's a very nice looking rifle and looking forward in shooting it once it get here. Thanks for posting pics.

The varmint is more$$ by the looks of it on line.2 mag's and a few more upgrades. I could not find one one line in Canada.

Wolverine has them listed but not in the 223 rem.

I wasn't sure but happy to hear the 2 mags. are included with the rifle.

right now blind magazines appeal to me my vanguard has one and it's very practicle since you will never lose it
if this came with a blind mag I would at the very least take a look at it because I am Italian 99.8% (23andMe)

The Elite Varmint is going for $1119.00.

The varmint has a completely different stock than the other models, also a muzzle brake and much heavier barrel.

I wonder how much "Franchi i" these are vs Sabbati, they use the exact same trigger unit as the Sabbatti Rover.
