P&D has a new Franchi O/U called a diamond. Single trigger, automatic safety, vanilla wood, silver engraved reciever, hard case.

Anyone know anything about these, I was trying to find a link to the Franchi website but couldn't find them.

Actually, there doesn't seem to be that much information out there. Seems they sell for around 799$ in the US, and are good shooters.

From what I have read they are not one of their higher end shotguns.
A little heavier than most of the Franchi field guns
However, that being said, I have never met a Franchi I didn't like.

There are some better shotguns out there, but one has to compare them with different brand guns of the same price range.
One cannot go head to head on a lower priced Yildez and put it up against something like a higher end Rizzinni, Guerrini, Barreta, etc.
I haven't shot a Diamond model but have shot and owned more than a few Franchis.
If you buy it martin, you will get a good firearm.....

The do look nice, I would love to hold one and see how it feels... but 1299$ is 500$ more than they are selling for in the states..

Diamond

Might be mistaken but ------- I believe that the Franchi Diamond is not in the regular line up in the USA and it is made for Dicks Sporting goods.
Cheers, John

I am not sure, I see P&D has the Diamond here in Canada.. for 1299$. I would still take it over a Turkish shotgun.

Franchi question answered.

Don't buy the Diamond, looks ok but very cheap. Been there and done it and lucky to get out after a week owning one. Won't say to much other than I was taught if you don't have anything nice to say .........
