These shotguns are extremely difficult to be had even south of the border. Shortly after they started to be imported to the 'States, the ATF banned their import. As a result, used SPAS 15 shotguns can fetch up to $2000 or more due to their rarity.

I had the opportunity to shoot one before they became prohib, and I'll happily stick with my 870 thanks!

The SPAS 15 - was declared a destructive device in the US due to the availability of a fully automatic version, then banned. I handled one (semi auto) before they were banned here and they are remarkably heavy, bulky firearms - which probably isn't surprizing considering it was meant to be full auto.
