I purchased a Franchi from Trade Ex. and it came without any choke tubes. It is threaded for chokes, on the outside of the barrel. the problem is that I cannot find out where to get a choke. Does anybody know where to get one and what name do they go by?

I looked at some of the externally threaded Franchi's and a B2000 Browning on the site. It appears to be a European style choke system. What you have is the sweated on base which accepts the external tubes. I would have EPPS remove the attachment and have them install some internal tubes. I would bet the tubes you need are going to be hard to find. I will do some research for you.

I did some more checking and it appears that you may have had a Cutts compensator on that barrel at one time. It is now missing the vented body and the actual choke that screws onto the body. If you can find a shop or anyone with a 12 gauge Cutts you may want to compare and see if this is the same. Early '60's ref books indicate that Franchi's could be ordered with a Cutts or Poly choke from the factory. Just a thought. Check Lyman's site for a look at a Cutts comp.
