so i found out alanta cutlery sells these fairly cleaply. (under 200) for an untouched rifle.
it looks like a fun project idea and i like the action(sucks being left handed)
iv consulted the stickeyed flowchart and seems legal to me to get one shipped but i wanted to confirm with you guys.
and if they are have any of you goten one? experience with it?

its antique but id not bother with one they are wall hangers only the real name is Nepal francotte because they copied the Belgian francotte design but did not do it well the metal quality and the way they where make them prone to cracking parts get a british made one(mk 1 mk 2 mk 3 mk 4) because even the Nepal gahendra is better but still not a good shooter

you fallowing me on this fourm?lol thanks for the advice tho. if i find a brit made one il grab it.

you have any experience shooting henrys? they seem like fun to me

ive had 3 all mk 4 pattern rifles its not a cheap cal to get into the .577-450 in the British martinis uses a .468"-.470" bullet that's 480gr and in a proper case(solid head) 85gr of fg black powder the Nepal made stuff is off the wall I know enough about them to not waste my money but the Nepal cache had plenty British guns

cases are at the cheapest $5 a piece for good solid head stuff the dies are not cheap and the lee dies suck as they over work the brass. I happen to use .480 ruger dies for everything as the neck size the brass seat and crimp the bullet just fine but you have to short stroke your press

gotta love obosleet ammo eh? so 480 ruger dies are the cheaper meathod. thats good to know. i know 24 guage magtech brass is used for the cases but every fourm iv been on couldnt make up there minds how to neck them properly

you just use the lee dies and work them slowly to form them but the problem with 24ga brass its balloon head and need to be full length sized every time so the head is fully supported in the chamber ive been using Jamison since I got into martinis $5 a case but that case if taken care of lasts quite a while

i herd people scrapping recreational boats just toss the lead used for ballast. id check a yatch club. hell sail boats have a solid lead keel. that can last u for years

lead is one thing the right alloy and hardness is everything just any lead dose not always cut it if there were true then id use the lead I have stacked up but these guns are picky 10-12 BHN is the key they way I see it to sell you should be consistent with the alloy

so reloading aside how are these rifles. are they fun to shoot or is youtube lieing to me lol

antiqueguy has given you good advice on the nepalese made rifles. you might find one that shoots ok or you might get one of the ones that sholdn't be fired, ever. Your call.
