At the North Bay gun show, I picked up a nice 1908 Brazilian Mauser action. The parts matched, except for the trigger guard which was from a 1909 Argentine Mauser with the hinged floor plate. Several rows over, there was a full length stock from a 1909. At home, I had a new 1903A3 barrel in .30/'06 and I just received an elderly, all steel Lyman 57 sight. Let's see how things will look in about three months.

When Lever was selling them for $150.00, new from the shipping container a number of people bought them to make custom sporting rifles.

Well, it only took 2 & 1/2 years.
I had a chum install the barrel in .30/'06 and I fitted a patch for the hole in the handguard and fitted up a Lyman 48 rear sight. the front sight is from an 1898 Krag.

Nice!

That's not your first Frankenmauser Stew - I know because I bought one off of you 10 or so years ago.
