Stumbled on a nice lot of 30-06 ammo. 60 rounds, 10 to a pouch. On Mauser like stripper clips. Ammo is in very good condition, as are the cloth pouches and web belt. Will get some pics up after a while. Using a new computer and don't have my driver installed for digital microscope.

The United States Government paid Paul Mauser for use of his "stripper clip". "The outcome of the litigation with Paul Mauser over infringement of his rifle patent by the United States included payment for the use of his "Cartridge Feed Pack for Magazine Guns" which was covered by U. S. Patent No. 402,605, dated May 7, 1889." Page 323, The Springfield 1903 Rifles by LTC William S. Brophy, USAR, Ret. So, yeah, the are Mauser stripper clips!
