Frankford Arsenal Micro electronic scale review?

I recently bought one and tried it out. My first impressions of it is the packaging is minimal, that it does nothing to protect the scale from handling damage, since it is a sensitive instrument, oh well. So I followed the instructions and zeroed it as per. I went throught testing it first with a weight check set, working through .5 gr - 100 grs. It is accurate to +/- 0.1 of a grain.

However when I took the weights off the scale I was noticing it drift by -0.1 grain every couple of seconds. So I thought ok I'll take the batteries out and zero it again. But again I notice the scale continualy drift by -0.1 grain and it look like a count down clock more than a scale.

To make a long story short I packed it backup and returned it. May have been that particular scale or interference but I didn't want to chance it when it comes to powders. My 2cents.

Keep in mind that electronic scales are sensitive to air currents (e.g. cieling fan, forced-air heat) and voltage fluctuation.

According to my scale check weights, mine reads 2/10 heavy @ 50 gr., and 3/10 or more @ 75 gr. or over...frequently doesn't go back to zero when scale pan is empty.

Electronic scales are highly susceptible to cell phone interference. Balance beams never run out of batteries and you never have to question it. if you have the room and aren't concerned about measuring different weights. (ie. grns and loaded carts and all of those various components)
GOOD electronic scales are a wonderful thing :)
