Frankford Arsenal - Universal Bullet Seating Die

On the one hand, it is very intriguing as it might make having a suite of caliber specific Bullet Seaters unnecessary. On the other, it may be good for hunting quality but may fall short in the pursuit of accuracy.

Took me a little searching, but I found it again. There is a thread on this in the reloading section with a couple members chiming in about their positive experiences

I have one. Works pretty good. Nice to have the different seating stems. Doesn't like short cases with small bullets. 223 with 55 or 52gr. Always seems to damage the case.

How are the VLD seating stems for use with VLD/ELD bullets, does anyone have experience with these bullets using this product?
Dead thread revival alert .......

I loaded some 103gr 6mm ELD-X using mine the other night. While I have not had trouble with other BT bullets, these long bullets tipped inside the die when dropped through the window on the side of the die and would not align with the stem for seating. I had to insert these bullets from the bottom the same way you would with a conventional seater.

Otherwise, I like this tool a lot!

I like mine a lot.
I'll never buy another seating die. If anything I might buy another one of these, just so I don't have to swap internals when I load my second caliber.

With the long, heavy for caliber bullets, if I drop them in the window, I have to use my finger to start the tip into the top stem. So I've switched to placing the bullet into the case and then performing the full stroke.
