Good day to all from the blazing Okanagan.
I sold this rifle years ago to a friend and finally got it back to cover part of a debt.
I'm just curious if anyone has any info about these rifles as it took me a bit to figure out what it was but thanks to the Mauser page on facebook got some of the help I needed.
It has only a serial number on the barrel, and markings are "Favorit Compact" and caliber 8x68S. It does have an awesome set of bases/rings.
I finally found the stamp wfw under the front base to identify as Frankonia.
I know it belong to another friend of mine who has moved since I originally got it and his dad purchased it either in Germany or where they resided in Belgium way back then. It's so similar to every other gun made with Mauser actions.
Any info will be appreciated...Thanks for reading.
