Why not just install a free floating handguard? Not exactly rocket science, the geissele mk8 was easier to install than a standard delta ring!

This, you want it all the way up. It's less nice to carry and shoot off hand but much better when actually using it.

That's the reason I don't run one on a AR tho, makes for a weird balance.

If you can reload ammo you can install a freefloat handguard.

Here’s the same AR with a budget free float handguard that fits over the oem gas block which has been shaved down to eliminate the A2 sight and clear the low profile. It has 45 degree offset buis as a backup to the Burris Tactical Red Dot. Because batteries fail.

Just posted as another option to those attracted to the general idea .

Does that a2 post block a lot of the scope sight picture, it looks like it takes up the bottom half ?
