FREE M14 Op Rod Guide Pins and ARMS18 Set screws FREE

Barney, you must be swamped, my second set came in the mail today! No fear, I called CGNs BUZZ and he's happy to use them, so thanx again, from two of us now.

Whoops I am sorry about that mess up. Some days I do have my head up my butt. :eek:

Now I am concerned that some M14 lover out there is still waiting for their replacement pins. If that is one of you, please send me a PM and we will get this sorted out. I have no shortage of these pins for tightening up the op rod guide and/or replacing the set screw on the contact pad for the ARMS 18 mount.

Cheers,
Barney

Hey Hungry, can you give us an equivalent of the screw pitch and roll pin dimensions? I think it would be a little cheeky to ask you to post them to me over here :)

The set screw pitch is 6x40 tpi x 3/16" cup point and the op rod guide pin is 1/8" x 3/4" long.

Realistically I had to buy 200 of each (at 3 cents apiece) if I needed a dozen for a few builds. So I ended up with a shztload.

I don't mind mailing them out to ya, even if you are in KiwiLand and you missed the M14 Clinic in 2011 when I swung through Rotorua, NZ (North Island) after knocking off some rodents in AussieLand the week prior. :evil:

Look at what the Mitsubishi SUV ran over on the highway, July 2011:

Ya shoulda seen what I sent to FenixNZ once I got back home to Kanada or M14Land.... :D

Send me your addy in NZ...

One day I'll be back in Kiwiland for another M14 clinic! That would be fairdinkum, mate!

Cheers,
Barney

Hey, those are recycled/re-used one-side good sheets from my high school. When I was Dundurn Base last summer on my Western Canada Clinic road trip (10 clinics in 5 weeks), I was introduced to the 2VP Sniper crse as a "Religion Teacher."

Nobody there believed me. ..... :runaway: WTF is a Religion Teacher doing behind the Thermal spotting scope at a night shoot calling out the corrections for a Timberwolf using a milradian system? :evil:

Yuk yuk yuk

Enjoy the M14 addiction!

Religion Teacher,

Barney

You must be spending a good chunk of money on stamps...

I've said it before at my M14 clinics, This M14 effort(s) to help you dudes are MY therapy. I don't drink (ammo costs need to be addressed) so I need to help others and spread the love, so to speak. At the end of my day in the classroom, I am 'mind-fzcked' and you guys help me out this way....it's becoming a win-win situation. :D

Doing kindness in the CGN community is my way to return the good help I received from my mentors over the years. They know who they are and I am grateful for their input forming me into who I am today. So it's time for me to return the favors. Luckily we have this great CGNutz community that allows me to help you guyz out and become 'needed'. My grandma told me that secret to life.

"Grandma, give me the secret to happiness in life." I started with her at the Palliative Care ward at VGH in Hongcouver.

"I will give you two words to be the happiest person in the world," she responded. Here I was expecting to hear stuff like:

* win lottery
* marry rich
* find sugarmomma
* join NHL

Instead she said, "Be needed." :runaway:

I walked away asking, "WTF was that all about?" That only shows what an ignorant young whippersnapper I was. :evil:

As I approach the sunset of my teaching career in high school after 28 years, I have come to realize the enormous truth in that statement. :D And now, I thank you all for allowing me this opportunity!

:wave:

Barney

How awesome of you. Thk

Just to note, for those in the "Greater Edmonton Area" that may not want to take Barney up on this offer there is a local place that has the #6x 40tpi x 3/16" set screws for the ARMS18 mount: Nisku Nut & Bolt at #3, 2002 - 8th Street, Nisku, Alberta. I was there today (June 19, 2013) and picked up two for a whole 12cents. Normally they have a $5 cash sale minimum, and I did buy other stuff, but it is nice to know someone in the area has some (Stuart opened a box of 100 to get me 2).

As well, the castle nut set screw is also #6 x 40tpi and could be used in a pinch.

Also, the little snap ring in the top of the ARMS 18 mount is a 5/32" in case anyone searches the threads for that info...

Cheers!
