I miss that area, I think I'm coming p in two weeks to take my mother camping, likely just to Gull Lake, it's only 15 min from home or her but she stills likes camping just not going anywhere!

We are still having some great weather considering its september, camping should be great!

Good to hear, our farm is kind of between the two lakes so we used o go to Sylvan for 'night life' in the summer but Gull for most everything else

Sylvan has grown alot and just refinished the towns beach walk to make it a bit safer for pedestrians, and to deter traffic and add parking, but is always so busy, I much prefer Gull lately

Red Deer Shooting Center is the nicest damn indoor range I have ever been too,
have not got a range membership yet, its $600, but the day passes at $40 are adding up lol
Its 50 yard indoor is great, was oiling up my new LLama pistol last night to take it shooting tomorrow lol

I visited for a couple of weeks maybe 10 years ago and it seemed the bike gangs had pretty much taken it over. It always was kind of a rowdy place by local standards. In my Father's Day 'No Show Jones" (George Jones) was even booked to play in the old dancehall there.
