love it, seen sticks used as axe handles, but this is a first.
I believe they are termed "optic" when used on a battle platform of this calibre... and no, those cost money, so it kind of conflicts with the philosophy of use...
Totally lucked out there.. I found a few in the back shed and this was the one with the least bird sh t on it.. But yeah, you have to go quality for sure... Pay now or pay later kinda deal..lol
besides, won't that thing always shoot for the top corners? lol nice work.

Nice!... All my wooden guns had those when I was a kid... Except they were paper towel rolls for extra long range work

If you wanna go for long range, use a wax paper tube. One of them thicker but slimmer ones. That might look pretty nice on a Mosin in a baseball bat
Here is a closer shot of the forend... You will note that it has an integrated vertical grip.. So far this has proven impractical because it is too far forward to be comfortable for me.. I may pivot it at the magazine instead, and that would put it in a better spot.. One has to be quite cautious with this sort of feature, though, because vertical foregrips are very evil. I had just barely folded this down when I was shooting it today, and one of our cats wandered away from the house with quite a pronounced limp!... It may have been the one that my Father in law hit with his truck last week, but I prefer to err on the side of caution...
