I am offering up 3 different muzzle devices FREE to the first member with over 500 posts, who agrees to thoroughly test and compare them to some other brakes and post the results here(I reserve the right to reject any member if I don't feel they contribute enough to this forum, i.e. I don't recognize your name from what I have read about the 58 here). You must already have at least 2 other styles of muzzle brake, not counting the dlask akm brake, as the general consensus is those do not work well on a 58. I will be very upset if I send them to someone and do not within a reasonable time span, see a very thorough comparison, and review on them, pics are a must and video would be a definite plus. Here in the states we must permanently attach our brakes to our 58's and that does not make testing multiple styles very easy for us, so I call to my friends from the great north for assistance.

Can muzzle brakes even be legally exported from the states? Seems like these might fall under some export restrictions.

I think it's more a question of him IMPORTING one (or making a similar one locally) to fufill the MI requirement, and he wants the 'best' one right off the bat!

Makes sense to me!

I don't have my VZ58 anymore, but I had this one (had three holes) and it was fricken awesome compared to no muzzle brake. :D

I'd vouch for Satain, He has no life enough to do a good job:p;)
Hey don't you have some work designing cool stuff for this rifle!?!
:p
AbHobbyist & curtmg would be more than qualified to do this. Plus I have already went through 6 different one's & I think that's enough. Although a range report with some one that has scoped rifle would be a nice touch. I would like to actually see witch ones preform better than the other's and if the VZ 58 act's differently than the CZ 858 with the same brake.
On a side note anyone that get's awarded obiwanbonjovi test, in my mind should use high heat plumber's tape (the yellow stuff from home depot) on the thread's so that the slop from them will not effect there shot placement.

again importing firearm parts are complicated , i strongly recommend members read legalese section before taking part in any test.

i recall a muzzle brakes may be a no no.

from what I can tell everywhere I look, muzzle brakes are perfectly legit. If someone has conflicting info please let me know, the last thing I need is any legal trouble. I will send the brakes to punkrockboy for a test and review.

brakes should be fine as long as you value them below $100.... Since you can "sell" them at any price, price them at $5 each to make it an except for every law.
