It's winter and I like to lay by the wood stove and read. I was rereading John Taffin's Single Action Six Guns and read the section about Freedom Arms high end revolvers. I guess I became interested in them due to their great accuracy. I see that Prophet River stocks them. Anyone on here have one? I'm thinking Model 97 in .357Mag with a .38S cylinder or maybe .45 Colt with .45ACP cylinder with a 7 1/2 inch bbl. Taffin is talking about 5 shots at 25yards in 1.0 inch, 4 shots in 25 yards in less than 1 inch for .45ACP. The .22LR with .22 WMR cylinder is better than that. I guess I can dream LOL.
What I'm thinking is I enjoy my various guns in different platforms and calibres. I wouldn't want just one gun in one calibre. But to be really good one has to practice on one platform and calibre a lot. This is what I would be looking to do practice a lot with one gun and one calibre. I could do this with say the GP100 or a Blackhawk but the Freedom Arms is so good that would take that out of the equation, just leaving me that needed improvement. Of course, at this time I don't have $3000 for the gun but it's winter and I have lots of time to dream! Maybe Lotto Max can come through!
