Any idea where and when the engraving was done?

Not mine, just saw it browsing. The description on it pointed to the engraving being period done and in France. Glad to see others appreciate it too!

Much prettier than mine but mine was made in 1892 which is kinda cool too.

Someone put a lot of work into that pistol, it looks pretty good.
