Ex-French Army shooting buddy of mine recommended this movie and also Platoon Anderson (Alpha, Able)

Dubbed in Spanish, but has English sub-titles.

Not the French in Indochina but also interesting as it depicts the French paras in North Africa about the same time: The Lost Command and the Battle of Algiers.

Both controversial at the time (and even latter), both banned in France; the latter was screened for the Pentagon prior to the invasion of Iraq.
