French Mle. 1935S Pistol Prohibited?

Is the French Mle. 1935S semi-automatic pistol chambered in the 7.65x20mm Longue cartridge prohibited seeing as the caliber is .32?

No. The 7.65 French Long cartridge is not deemed to be a .32 caliber cartridge. The 7.65 Browning (.32 Auto) is deemed to be a .32 caliber cartridge.
It doesn't matter that bullet diameters are the same, or that 7.65 Browning will fire in the 7.65 French Long chamber, if the extractor holds the round against the breech face.

I own a 1935A, and was a little surprised when I asked CFC to complete the transfer, and there was no discussion about it. It would be interesting to know if only guns in
.32 ACP are prohibited.

Sadly, no - they've blacklisted any revolvers in 32-20 as well as others.

Bottom line - there's no point in looking for common sense in any of this.
