Howdy Folks,
couple of pictures of my newest purchase. 1982 production Winchester 94 AE Trapper in 30-30. Looks like it wasn't fired yet and if so I really can't tell.
Probably the fastest handling rifle I ever had. That thing jumps on target. Looking forward to some fun on the range soon. Thanks!
I just bought the exact one in the same condition not long ago, it has been riding around in my scabbard on the side of my horse quite a bit lately. Fun little gun but still like my pre 64's more.
Thanks guys. I'm very happy with the purchase. Marlin 336 well...is on its way to me as well, similar condition and also pre-safety.
I like the way Winchester handles much better, but Marlin is probably more accurate.
I have a bud that picked up a bunch of .303 British LEs 4mk1s that had never been fired no movement marks or anything on the bolt or in the chamber no scuffs or dings on the wood every one of them are like new. The jerk won't sell them either...
I have noticed a lot of older rifles that have no use at all coming onto the market the past year more so the 25 years and older rifles.
Nice rifle model. Those models are the best of the AE models from my research. Levers are my favorite and the best hunting rifle design if tiny groups are not real important. The AE Winchesters resolve the major feature difference between Marlin and Winchesters, scoping.
I'll be picking up Marlin today. Over the next couple of days I need to make a decision. I'm going to keep just one. It's going to be a difficult choice.
I'm going to post some more pictures soon.
