Fresh Paint Let's See Em

Bah, 12.5 lbs....that's nothing. I'll just man up and lug her around.

You go right ahead. See if you'll change your mind after a 6 hour hike with it and a loaded rucksack on your back. I just got my Savage 111 in .308; it weighs about 6 pounds. I am looking forward to taking this rig out hunting. I realize that soldiers in the day had no options about the weight that they had to carry around, but I ain't no soldier, just a schmuck out deer hunting;)

My buddy painted his M14 using Krylon camo paint. Took this pic yesterday when we were out testing our rifles.

Bastard, haha! You beat me to my own self-introduction to Canadian Gun Nutz post :)

Hi everyone,

I'm brand new to shooting, and this is my first post here at Canadian Gun Nutz. It was actually Jay that roped me into this hobby and the next thing I know, I'm maxing out my credit card and the wifey is threatening divorce.

I'm a pig in sugar :)

Since I'm new, I doubt I'll have anything intelligent to add to the threads here, but I will lurk here and read up on the threads....I have a ton to learn.

Thanks for sharing the pics Donut, and welcome to the obsession. Great paint job, I was looking at the same paint at HomeHardware a couple of days ago, put it back though, I knew I would make a bloody mess with it.

Looking at your terrain there in B.C., I just had the feeling I could see a Sasquatch just over there in the shadows, gave me goosebumps:p.

This is the video where I learned how its done....its as easy as it looks .
I used the Kryrlon Camo paint and after wards I used a couple coats of clear satin and then a very slight buff with steel wool .
