Hi, here is the situation:

I bring a friend to range regularly, he asks me let him shoot my reload ammo, is it a good idea?

I know certain legal problem if he is hurt by my reload, if he sign an agreement that he takes all responsibility, am I protected?

Your opinion is welcome...

At the least, you might loose a friend if he blow up his gun. IF he is injured, who know were this can lead you.. why not encourage him to start reloading instead ??

I agree with Janeau;

If something happens (you will feel guilty as Heck) and not to mention the legal ramifications. Why not have him reload his own with your equipment? That way he is responsible for his own ammo. He pays for all the stuff (brass, bullets, primers and powder). When he starts to enjoy reloading, sell him your stuff and upgrade your set up (just joking)

Probably you should ask this on the Legal forum. There are no doubt some lawyers that hang out there.

My speculation would be if he is asking you for reloaded ammo and you've gifted it to him, then surely the normal risks associated with shooting the stuff are his to bear.

I believe bylogic is wondering if it is okay to let his friend use bylogic's reloads. My out look on this is: I don't reload for anyone else or shoot in my guns anyone elses reloads. If I let someone else shoot my handguns it may or probably has my reloads in it. But it is my gun and I made the reloads. If bylogic's friend wants cheap reloads bylogic should have him over to his house and show him how and let him pay for and reload his own ammo. The part about a friend who sues you is not a friend seems true but if a friends eyesight is lost because of your reloads he may have to sue you to feed himself ,his wife and children. So show him how to reload , help him , supervise him but let him make his own.

You should encourage your friend to uses your press so he can reload his own ammo.....bonus he will learn how.....just make sure you are not the one doing the reloading... ;) if something happen you would be in the caca

Not a good idea for all the reasons listed, if he is a really good friend that why not just share the reloading equipment and have him make his own loads?
