I'm thinking of getting a glock, but there are so many models to choose from. I'm looking for one to be in 9mm and not to be overly long. What is my best bet.

If you have small hands, the G19 Gen3 is a nice gun. It will fit Glock 17 holsters and take G17 mags. If you want a full size service pistol, as Silverfoxdj says, get the 17. If you look through the EE, you might find a G17C which is a rarer variant.

I have giant hands but love the 19. Note that the 17 is the only one that you can get in 9mm where the barrel does not stick out of the slide due to our legal requirements. There are also little 26s available if you really love small frames, but they are pricey for what they are and they look ridiculous with the aftermarket barrels. In order of biggest to smallest you have the models 34, 17, 19, 26, and the newest 43.

Glock 17 Gen4 comes with adjustable back straps so you can size it exactly how you like.

Glock 17 or 19. Try them both and see which you prefer the feel of. The 19 also has the barrel sticking out of the slide, which you may or may not be a fan of.

I personally would recommend a older gen 3 glock 17. Find one with the older tennifer finish. Those things do not scratch. A lot of the other ones had some sort of crappy parkerizing that scratches very easily. The newer gen 4's i think improved on the finish. But nothing beats the good old tennifer.

lol. I always thought the 19's were prohib in Canada. I like the length of the 19 over the 17.

Oh, for the 19 to be legal in Canada it needs the barrel to be exposed. Ill go with the 17 then, because I hate that look.

I have the G22 with the Storm Lake barrel and I love being able to shoot 9mm and 40cal with the same gun.
