Does any one know is there any concern with buying a firearm that has been frog Lubed? Is it possible for someone to do it wrong and cause damage to the gun? I don't use Frog lube , I am I stuck using it know or can I switch back to my started Lube that I use for all my other pistol's?

Never had an issue with it myself. You should be able to just wipe it off and use what you want. Froglube also makes a solvent, but most "normal" gun products are petroleum based and will eat through the FL no problem.

You can't hurt a gun with FL, but there is a proper way to first apply it to make it more effective.

PS: the minty fresh smell is addictive!

I use it everywere even on boat applications, it is a great lube, if you put to much, when hot after shooting, just wipe the excess... Over 5K rounds tru 3 AR's CQ / MK18 / KAC SR-15 and not one single hiccup, all treated with FL... JP.

It's just olefin wax. It's a pretty lousy lube but unless they ran thousands and thousands of rounds through the gun with FL, I wouldn't worry. Or, I guess, if it was a really expensive 1911, and I didn't want anything that hadn't been treated with ideal methods. But if it's anything other than a full-custom 1911, just get rid of the FL, and use a proper gun lube in the future.

I use FL in my Les Baer, over 1000 rounds and all perfect, i have to disagree here, i think it is one of the best lube... JP.

I used Froglube few times last winter. Followed the suggested process and ended up with a badly gummed slide after a month storage during the cold winter months. I ended up going back to Ballistol, Synthetic Oil and Synthetic Grease. The only advantage using Froglube is the non-toxic grading.

At the club, when, i started restricteds, i noticed that 8 out 10 AR shooters were using FL, i talked to them, about the product, they confirmed to me that it was a very efficient product... Since that time i ordered many bottles and never had an issue, the product work... This is the best explanation, you will get from me... It is a proven product... All those AR shooters at the club could not be all wrong... JP.

Frog lube has two significant disadvantages for me, it gums up after short period of time and in real cold canadian winters it freezes

+1 on that. The only places I use FL is on the external frame 'cause it does help make wiping off the carbon easier. For everything else, I use FireClean.
