Frog Lube?

What!, you mean to say you don't need anyone to put it in a smaller bottle, jack up the price ten fold and call it something stupid?

Im a cheap bastard. After googling ATF firearms lubricant a couple of years back I quickly realised that most little bottles are scams.

I agree, never heard of a gun oil refinery. If it's good enough for oil rigs, mining equipment and automotive applications, it's good enough for comparatively light duty a gun goes through. More money for the booolits too.

All you need

Oh sheit you got the older stuff that the teflon is separating... I just got a 4L jug of the newer thinner stuff.

If it's chemically extremely similar to motor oil, air tool oil, or high pressure grease, and priced similarly, and I somehow run out of my supplies of the above, I'll totally run out and get some. At least, if the store is closer than Canadian Tire.

I use the froglube "treatment" on the outside of my firearms. I like the fact that its not toxic, i can get it all over my hands without worrying. Doesn't leave an oily film after.
Time will tell how it lasts and prevents rust over time though.

Works great for me and is NON TOXIC. For years I used Hopps only to find out is was carcinogenic years ago; now I'll stick with a safer product that is plant based!

Froglube sucks, don't use it.

Froglube was an internet sensation. Some elite tactical group were supposed to be using it -can't remember if it was SEALS or something else, and all the cool kids switched to Froglube. The forum here was full of people saying how great it was. Then somebody finally caught on that it gums up and screws up your gun, and then all the fanboys jumped off the wagon.

Lessons Learned:
1. don't jump on the wagon and don't believe the hype on every new sensation that comes along. \
2. if an "elite tactical team" were using this crap, then it goes to show they aren't as elite as we think they are.

I'm wondering how much people are using that it's guming up their firearms. I have never used frog lube but I have used seal1 (paste) exclusively for around 2 years and I believe they are very similar. I don't leave enough on any part to be even considered a film and I don't think you are meant too. I'm sure there are better and or cheaper products around but I still have a ton of this stuff left and I love it.
