This may be a problem for Glock barrels right? cleaning and such

I've put over 10k rounds of lead only through my G17 and the barrel and rifling are in great condition. I have yet to ever see a Glock barrel suffer due to lead bullets. A lot of rumour but no proof.

I shoot almost 100% lead bullets in Glocks. They get a couple stokes of a brass brush after each session, just like all the other guns. They remain clean.
