Just as a matter of interest because someone mentioned something about guns in France above, I looked up percentages of gun ownership by country in Wikipedia.

"...a doc on the bomb removal teams..." The one I saw was Belgian EOD guys, I think. Still job security for the EOD guys. I wonder if the French and Belgian newspapers say anything when a farmer gets killed. No way the UXB stuff always stays inert.
"...someone had a relative in the Resistance..." Far too eclectic a collection. That stuff has been gathered from all kinds of sources. Including surplus shops and fields. There's a lot of Brit and American stuff.
"...the French bashers in the USA..." They have their heads up their bung holes and know nothing about history. The French bashing comes from the French refusing to get involved in GW's war. They forget that the French helped them in their Rebellion too.

it's easy , in the area of strasbourg , you can find a lot of militaria , nearly all of my guns cames from farms in alsace ( area of strasbourg)
