Front & Centre - CCFR's Media Blitz

Hi "twofast" … what's the idea here? I'm quite positive that nobody at the CCFR has approved the use of our name on your personal store …

I know what you mean but that is still not a winnable argument.
Who NEEDS to target shoot?

I've been watching Rod's webcasts and he's the absolute best spokesperson we could have.
His response would be to switch the conversation to 'law abiding gun owners' instead of try to tackle who needs what type of firearm. Using the 'who needs' arguement is a dead end street of a conversation.

I've contacted the CCFR offering a business donation as well as staff to assist the (must be overwheming) communication from their website. No word back yet. Anyone know a direct contact there where my firm can assist them with administration or logistics?

I listened to victoria cbc at 8:10, horrible for our side, I thought the cbc host was good, but ccfr I don't know about, the host said, I know why a person in canada needs a riffle for hunting or target shooting, but why would a person in canada need a handgun. Now the host gave what I thought would be the answer in the riffle part, for target shooting, but the CCFR speaker first went off about why would government want to take them, asked again, why would a person in canada need a handgun, he hummed and hawes some more, and when asked the third time, ( and I'm just thinking, answer the question, target, target ) but no, after saying uh, uh well for a minute, he answers, for personal protection. I think, what? No don't say that. Host says, for personal protection? He says yes.
WTF, general public doesn't want to hear personal protection, why couldn't he just say target shooting, which is what we all put on our liscence aplication, I know there are a few for protection, miners, trappers, but we sure don't want everyone thinking hundreds of thousands of Rpal holders are going to shoot anyone, even in self defense.

Because you have no right to target shooting. And if you think target shooting will save gun ownership, then our guns are toast. Gun owners trying to be polite and hide self defense as the ONLY legitimate and protected reason for owning a gun is exactly why you are not allowed to hunt with handguns any more, why its virtually impossible to get an ATC, and why we are even talking about a handgun ban.

You have a right to your life, and section 28 of the firearms act lists 4 reasons for legally acquiring restricted firearms. Reason #1 is self defense. Lets talk about that shall we?

Rod G represents the Canadian Coalition for Firearms Rights. Not the Coalition for IPSC Privileges. He is absolutely within his lane to talk about self defense.

How many people took pictures of the Danforth shooter that instead should have been taking aimed shots? This culture of denying our own right to self defense, or trying to keep it a secret, is exactly what will cost us our guns.

You can try sending an PM to TWilsonCCFR, who is Tracey Wilson, VP of Public Relations at CCFR.

As stated above, the question around "Need" is the issue. It's a loaded question that should not be relevant in an open and civil conversation about pros and cons of guns in society.
Bs... It is an irrelevant question in a *FREE* society altogether.

Too bad nobody watches that garbage. The majority of people who fall into the demographic that disagrees with gun ownership doesnt watch conventional cable news.

Thanks, email sent. They must be busy right now. I hope we can help.
I want to do my part for the gun community. I hope others here step up with money or time. If you cannot afford to send money them please publish messages where-ever you can. This is an effort that if we lose it will be forever (like Australia).

To be honest I think the Liberals are Toast in 19 with all the scandals, now with the silly handgun ban nonsense, and now the supreme court ruling they cheated and falsified approvals on the pipeline after they bought it all the while being against it for years until it suited them, even among the Liberal base they are starting to smell

Wasn't the pipeline approved before the Libs came into power? Wasn't it Harper still in power when that went through?
