I finally received my CZ452 Varminter. I am debating between the Caldwell BR Rock Front Rest and the Bald Eagle Rest with wind age adjustment. Anyone have opinions or a preference for either one.

Have you a source for a Bald Eagle? That's the catch with them -- that is, they are hard if not impossible to find for sale in Canada. On the other hand, the Caldwell Rock BR is available.
Over on RFC, the guys generally favour the Bald Eagle. I have one and its elevation and windage adjustments seem to be finer than those on the Caldwell, which I also have. Having only recently got the Bald Eagle, I have more experience with the Caldwell and have no complaints with it. It has served me very well shooting from the bench with a variety of rifles.

I have the regular rock rest and the BR rest. There's definitely a big difference with the BR as I always had a slight left to right wiggle with the cheaper rest.I've only had the rock BR out once but it helped me shoot my best set of groups ever. Like grauhanen says the bald eagle is hard to get in Canada.

Going to throw my hat in here.. After talking to some avid varmint (prairie dogs) shooters in the SW corner of the US, I learned about this guy making heavy-duty shooting bags. http://www.dog-gone-good.com/ A year or so ago, I ended-up ordering a "medium bench bag" in tan camo, and a matching "small window mount" to use as a rear bag. They're rock solid, heavy once filled~can't see using anything else to be honest.

In the interest of full disclosure, I've tried the lead sled and a couple of other middle-of-the-road rests...but nothing top-tier for sure. However, I'm very pleased with the heavy shooting bags from DGG.

No experience with the Bald Eagle however there is nothing wrong with the Caldwell BR rest.
