I'm looking to buy an adjustable front rest but don't have a lot to spend. What would be a good one to get that won't break the bank?

If you really want to get cheap get some old sandbags and chop em up into threes, sow them into three smaller bags and fill em up with sand, cheap and stable.

To adjust them you just pile higher

In order to improve on rest stability, you can always had a steel plate 1/2" thick or so..(with a wider and longer footprint) to the bottom (drill and tap) of the Hoppes rest.

If your down in the USA or have a someone you know traveling through, get a Hart cast iron rest. This rest will service most shooters well.

If you plan on shooting for some time, save up for a good rest as it will last a life time and have some resale value.......in general....Not a bad investment especially at 1.15x exchange rate from the usa.

Before reading these last few posts, I bought a Hoppes rest on Ebay. Thanks for all the info. I guess if I don't like it I can always sell it.

The Canadian Benchrest team is looking into and will likely have a raffle on the following rest:

I have been in contact with Seb and will likely be placing an order with them. Its a specialty rest for sure!
