Front rest?

What front rests are available from dealers in Canada? Trying to do some research on a decent rest for some 50 and 100yd rimfire benchrest. Nothing going to be doing anything overly serious but want something decent.

I bought a plastic Case Guard MTM Front Rifle Rest because someone recommended it to me, but I never liked it. They liked it because it was easy to leave in the trunk all the time, to assist new shooters to sight in their rifles.

I also bought a bunch of Protektor leather sand filled rests because I'd read they were the best and most resembled what I'd learned on, but I didn't enjoy them either.

What I'm currently using are these cheap sand filled rests

and filled it with Home Depot dry play sand. They work very well with my BTVS.

I also bought this big one

but combined with everything else I carry to the range it just becomes too heavy to lug around.

There are of course much more expensive options, really designed for much longer shots with heavier calibers.

To be honest, the Caldwell BR Rock is a decent rest for the money. I'm not crazy about plastic rests YMMV.

Other than the Caldwell Rock BR, I don't think there is much available in Canada.

I ordered the Sinclair rest from them. Screwed up in my shipping request and payed more than I expected. But couldn't find anything else around oother than cheap type stuff. So in the end it was still worth it to me.

Bench rests

This is one of the few things you can buy from the US with no problems. Sinclar has some nice ones.

Try Henry Rempel in Calgary (1-403-272-8416) , he makes rests and bipods.

Rests are around $250 and up based on options (speed screws, windage tops etc) and the ski-pod is around $450

Front rest

This was made right here in Houston, B.C. It's a custom and you can add the top you like. I have 3 different tops for this. Clearances are very tight, just a great rest.
