Sorry guys if this has been previously asked, but I have an A2 front sight (standard post) on a 16" AR and an A2 MI flip up railed sight on a 20" AR. As soon as the snow melts, I'll be adjusting the irons on the two AR. I have Buis'es at the back (only windage adjustable), so I'll have to adjust the elevation at the front sights only.

I'm wondering for each of the two setup, how much vertical MOA one click (1/4 turn) is equivalent to?

IIRC it is about 1/2" at fifty metres for each click on the front sight. Its been a while since I dialed mine in though so don't accept that as the gospel.

Best thing about the AR platform in regards to sighting in is the ability to boresight easily. I used my neighbours' basketball backstop through the window and a vise to be within a MOA of POI before I hit the range. Its not always going to be right on like that, but it will let you know if you are grossly out of adjustment....
