Front sight Marlin 336C

Here's a trick for determining front sight height.

Take a short piece of automotive coated wire preferable black , wrap it around your rifle barrel directly behind the front sight. Leave a piece sticking up to act as a temporary front sight. Off to the range with some wire cutters and something to take an accurate measurement. Shoot and carefully trim until you are sighted in, then measure required height and go shopping .

Mine is a 1951, so i'm not sure if theyre the same. After switching to Skinners i had to get a higher front sight. The factory was either 0.30 or 0.35
