Hey, Im just pondering what to do with a front rifle sight, let me explain the rifle and then your opinions.

It's a lee enfield I had rebarreled to 45-70, you may remember a thread in mil surp about it (called bear defense to get the purists fired up).

Anyways, I dropped it off at a smith in Calgary to get it blued and feeding better. Im planning on putting a NECG masterpiece (Ruger style) front sight on it as the one JR's put on it is a shotgun sight mounted crooked and it's too tall (shoots low to the right).

Here is the question: I'm thinking about having the trigger and band sight nickel plated.
The gunsmith reccomended just getting it blued (less reflection) but I got it in my stubborn mind that it would look really good. Stainless sights on a stainless rifle look fine right?

The enfield is in a full length zebra wood stock and will be used for packing in areas where bears are an issue but not really for hunting.

Your thoughts on a nickel front sight before I blue it or send it off for nickel?
