Front site damaged

The front site on my son's Cooey is broken. Is it tough to change out the front site or should I take to a gun shop and have them do it?

The front sight can be drifted out and a new one in. Caution and using a brass punch will avoid any barrel damage. If it will not move easily, I would entrust it to a gunsmith. They have the special tools to remove and replace it.These tools cost about $300.

Do you know what direction the sight needs to be hammered out? Ie from the side or muzzle end?
