Having just received my second order of Frontier bullets I have discovered much to my shagrin that my quanities are less than the listed 1000 I paid for.

I was 3 short on a 1000, .357 and 9 short on a 1000, 45 acp.

Is this common with Frontier

I use Frontier too, and I cannot say, since I haven't bothered to count the quantity. Something to bear in mind next time I open a box.

this always happens to other 1000 box ,because they count by weight . my worst one was lacking 25 rounds in 45acp , missing 50 + in 9 mm

Oh my... I always pack my 500rds (reloaded ammo) boxes by weight.

Someone has way too much time on their hands to count 1000 bullets in the box :D

It happens I toss primed brass just 'cos it's either not 'perfect' or split like these:

when i reload i put all the rounds in ammo boxes and when im done those ammo boxes indicate how much Ive loaded so when i load 1000 rounds all the 20 50Ct ammo boxes should be full V:I:

I do exact same thing if I need to know exact number of rounds and/or to inspect every single round for whatever reason it is.
One should inspect every round before a match that counts - chamber check, primer seating, case, and bullet seating depth.

I've seen one GM having a round loaded with primer inside out :D trying to fire it not knowing of the issue :D "Shift" happens, just try to avoid it.

Ok, in my post above (#4) - I said 'always' - it in fact meant 'most of the time'. SORRY.
