Frontier bullets

Hi guys,

Any of you guys used these bullets for reloads and for hunting?

If so, what do you refer to or compare as for starting loads for these bullets?

I am looking to buy some of these in 30 cal 185gr and 220gr for my .308 and probably some 174gr and 230gr for the .303 but am not sure where to start for powder loads. Can't find anything so maybe you guys know something about them...loads...

I would stick with Hornady, Sierra etc. You don't use that many bullets when hunting so quality over price is my $0.02

I use the 110g for my 30 carbine and 30-30, they work well. I have also tried the 150 g and 168 g 308 for various loads. My only complaint is you get a significant amount of copper in the bore, (you can see it with the naked eye). I still use the 110 g but I'm sticking with hornady for the other 308 as I am looking for accuracy in those loads.

I use whatever data I have from my Lee or Hornady book for reloadinging them.

I think that the idea for Frontier Bullets is that it appeals to shooters who shoot a lot through their gun (for example, 3 gun rifle shooters) and so want to save money and yet still have jacketed performance. This is why their 9mm projectiles do so well as they allow IPSC shooters to have jacketed performance at a cost much less than jacketed rounds.

However, for hunting I would go for proven bullets as said above. Just my .02.

Indeed, many other and better choices out there.

However, for hunting I would go for proven bullets as said above. Just my .02..

I was thinking more for bear hunting as they seem to be quite solid for that particular use
