Frontier Firearms , a customer's Year in review

I have been dealing with Frontier for just over a year now so I thought I woud share my experience with them.

I wil start off listing firearms and other items I have purchased through them:

I think that is everything lol, wow , you don't realize how much you bought until you list it like that...


So like I said I have been dealing with Frontier for about 14 months now, and I will now let you know what I think and let you know what other experiences I had with other dealers but will not mention their names as I dont want to turn this into a bashing thread.

When I first started ordering from Frontier my intial reasoning was that I dont like putting stuff on my credit card and their EMT method was a good option for me. I was impressed with their customer service skills from day 1 , I will take good costomer service over saving a few bucks any day. I have never waited more then 1 day for a reply from their email and I usually hear back the same day if not within a couple hours. they have always been very friendly and shown that they appreciate my business .

I had other dealers give off the impression that they could care less if they get my business or not , which makes no sense(ex: I was looking at a stock on another dealers site, but all they had was a basic discription , so I emailed them to see if it was what I was looking for , they gave me another email to contact to get a photo and to this day , nothing) . and looking at what I have purchased from Frontier, looks like they missed out .

When placing orders with frontier ,I know that day that my payment made it and that it will be shipped out right away( could be the next day or after depending when they are shipping) and I usually recieve imy order 4-5days later , never waited more.

Now I have had some hiccups with ordering from them but I dont feel it was their fault in my honest opinion, but I will list them here:

I was ording almost daily last year at this time and put in a order for the Millet scope listed above , I was away at the time so I couldn't check right away but when I was able to the scope wasn't there , I contacted Frontier and told them what was up and they looked into it and indeed they didn't ship it .Now I will mention again I was ordering alot at the time and wasn't upset at all since they had to deal with alot of orders from me alone , then add in other customers , something is going to slip through the cracks. They appologized and shipped the scope out the next day(once again within the week I had it in hand.

The green laser I ordered , had the wrong mount and worked intermittedly , I contacted them and got the right mount sent out . I figured the other problem was just a bad battery but when I was able to get another one it wasn't , they were more then willing to replace it but I never did cause I was being lazy (so it is all on me I still dont have a working laser not that I really need it lol)

Now the last thing isn't any fault of Frontier in any way but I will list it because of the solution. I asked Frontier to get in a Ruger M77 Hawkeye predator .223 last november and they ordered it for me , I put down some money for it with the knowledge that it was going to be atleast 3 months to get it in . Now as many of you know Ruger was having that mad sales push and that Rugers were becoming near impossible to get in Canada . So 3 months past , then 6 and more . I contacted Frontier and told them I knew it wasn't their fault in any way but was there a chance I could transfer the down payment to another firearm , which they told me it was no problem. So we did that and I am now one small payment away from owning a Marlin 1895 which I look forward to shooting this xmas with my father who I know will enjoy it. I told them I will still likely buy the ruger when it comes in ,so they are keeping me in the loop on that .

Now I dont buy everything from Frontier but if they carry it I will go to them first .stuff like cartridges and targets I usually go into stores and purchase over the counter just because it is easy .


I am very pleased with all my dealings with the guys at Frontier , and plan to be a customer for years to come. They have top notch customer service as mentioned and I feel they will always go out of the way for customers.

I've ordered two pistols and case of ammo from them. Both were extremly quick and the most recent, i asked a few questions , and like you said, when i email them they respond within a few hours.
 
Great post to read. I've just recently got my PAL and these guys are only an hour away. I've been looking for excuses to not drive up and check out what's in stock

Nice review, great place to deal with, they always answer the phone and return emails. Everyone that I have talked to there were all very professional and helpful. Restricted that I bought from them was transferred, shipped Expresspost and arrived in 4 days.
 
First and second pistol plus 1000 rounds of ammo from them without a problem. Quick service and a great bunch to deal with.
 
I bought a telescope, level and base from Frontier and right from the beginning of my pesky "interrogation" Clayton answered my questions about the telescope and this got him a sale. I wanted to add a rifle to that order, but up front he informed me that I should look elsewhere for 'I know I cannot get that in any reasonable time:' A search with other dealers and an email directly to Stoeger Canada confirmed that he was right: It would have been at least several months(I did find used, what I wanted within a couple weeks) The Farrel 20 moa base I needed had to be back ordered and for some reason in my life, this means months, but several days later, confirmation came, and a couple days later it was sitting next to the rifle, mounting instructions in hand.

I haven't sent acknowledgement to Clayton that everything was here and ok as I figure he has enough emails to sort through: So if anyone from Frontier reads this, I have and am happy with the Zeiss, Flatline scope level and the Farrel base AND thank you for the manner in which my questions and subsequent order were handled.
 
Lol new camper, you must be confused with Prophet River Firearms and Clay lol but with that being said, I deal with both frontier firearms and prophet river due to the service I get. When I bought my first gun from frontier I wanted to drive out and get it, 3 hour drive each way, but they tried to talk me out of it to save me the money in gas!!! That's awesome!!! I use prophet river because its right there and the service matched Frontier.
 
Just recently I purchases a Ruger 1022 takedown from them. The rifle was listed on the website and with a call it was confirmed that it was still in stock.
Paid by EMT and called again to give them the password for the transfer.

Within the hour I got confirmation that the order was complete. I waited a day and didn't get a tracking nbr.
I emailed them and they confirmed that they oversold and sourced and shipped it from another store at no extra cost to me.

Sounds like an inconvienence but it tells me that they value their customers enough that they went the extra mile.
They could've said "so sad, too bad... it's on backorder" or "oop's none in stock here's you money back".

They were very quick with the emails and great when I talked to them on the phone.

I told them that they did a great job and that they will be given first call on my next purchase.
 
I just purchased a new X bolt stainless stalker from them after being thoroughly disappointed by a different vendor. I couldn't have be more pleased with their service. They shipped it on the same day I ordered it and were so pleasant and polite. They are top notch in my bboks
 
Their service is very good online , I do have one thing that I think would be a great benefit and that is having a little better store hours for the local buyers.

Umm, well, this is rather embarassing. How did I confuse the two? My apologies: Anyway, the only thing I change about the post is it's location! (not to suggest that Frontier's policies differ, it's just that I haven't been able to share this from an experential perspective)
 
Sold me my norc m305. got me hooked onto the lifestyle. They could use a bigger store, but their customer service is excellent.

I'll definitely continue on working with them :D
