Marlin Birkland owner /operater of Frontier Firearms is an "A-One" guy to deal with! I bought an Imperial Defence 10.5" AR carbine in December '08,had regular emails updating the sale,prompt shipping and even had a free hard gun case in which the rifle was shipped.
Always get quick replys to inquireries or questions I have asked as well as a high level of customer service.
Give Marlin a fair chance and I believe you will be pleased and well looked after.

You'd better think twice

If you are in a school residence you should find out if there are any firearms regulations set by the school.

If you are not on school residence then you could order a restricted but i can tell you moving and having to do address changes on everything, and a cabinet or safe to store it in can be a hassle.

The up side is you have a nice pistol to shoot at the range, just dont go bragging about having a pistol, dont tell anyone, dont talk about it at school. Some people will go off the wall over a comment they barely heard

If you will live in residence, just forget about it for now. Besides the fact that there will be restrictions imposed by the university, you have to understand that residence is an insecure place. There will be immature resident assistants with the keys to your room. And you can expect that these keys will be used. There will be shafting. There are no secrets in residence. Anything in your room will be public knowledge.

If you will live off campus, the next issue to consider is your roommate(s) - and your overnight guest(s) - who may not be licensed and who may not be cool.

Well my situation is different, but 100 people in my year of Electrical Engineering, plus others, know I own guns (ok, maybe not every single one). People tend to overreact about the dangers of people knowing you own guns. Of course, like the guy above said, it depends on your living situation. Mine is such that the people I live with are trustworthy.
