Frontier's new Imperial Defense AR's

More interested in what the barrels have marked on them, receiver markings usually do not mean as much as the barrel markings, and can you confrim that the chamber is 5.56 NATO vs .223 Remington.

gadget

Yes, it is confirmed that MC4A6/5 are made to chamber
5.56x45 NATO Ammunition.

How? They also "confirmed" that it was "mil-spec", which is pretty much a marketing term these days and really means jack.

Maybe you missed this the first time?

What they say and claim doesn't mean a thing. Companies exagerate, mislead or outright lie to sell their products all the time.

They claim "mil spec" yet the buffer tube looks to me to be commercial diameter.

ETA: Reading my comments I noticed that they may sound harsh. This isn't my intent. What I'm trying to do is reconcile their poorly worded website description with the discrepencies that are showing up in the actual product. You even admit yourself that the barrels are 1/9 instead of the adverstised 1/7, so how do we verify what they claim?

You're probably right ....
I'm no expert with any spec. but when I think of military specification
it's something that whatever the military standard specification .....
then again which country of military standard of specification ?
US ... England ... China ...
What I really care is that the gun works all the time and shoot straight ...
and I'm not going to war with it ... lol...

I totally agree with you. I also think if the mil-spec is actually according to
the cheapest budget of military, what ever gun could be crap .....

If I'm not mistaken ..... their website shows available in 1/7 & 1/9 ....
"1/7 that only handles accurately SS109 Ball and Tracer and 1/9 which shoots accurately SS109 Ball and the old M193 Ball."

The link to their website above, shows they have NSN numbers issued for some of their items. That is a start in the right direction.

If anyone was wondering only complete rifles are coming, not uppers and lowers seperately. I emailed Frontier.

Would you scope it or red dot? Just bought a 10.5 today and I am trying to decide. I would like to keep the carry handle and still use the iron sights just like my Bushmaster. I have a red dot on the BM so maybe a scope for this one. Also would like to fix it with a quad rail, and maybe a vertical grip? Marstar is all out of carry handle mounts and quad rails:( Any ideas?

Thad; use an optical sight on one and leave "au naturel" on the other one you buy. ;)

$$$

You make perfect sense my friend, but of course I was thinking a cool tactical scope right after my last post:redface: I do like the simple look of nothing on top of the I.D. Damn it to hell with the choices:mad:

Can anyone tell me the last time Westicle saw an AR15 for sale in Canada that he didn't crap all over apart from the vaporware ATR lowers that nobody has seen in person yet?

Not saying the ATR product won't be nice, but the other products that shoot reliably aren't exactly junk either and I'm getting sick of W's crusade to smash vendor reputations all over this forum.

Seriously: chill out dude. Don't like? Don't buy. Pretty simple, really.
