Frosty Farky Is sold out!

I called Mark Andersen at the Powder Keg (250) 554-3425 (he's organizing this) and had him sign me up. I'm looking forward to this very much indeed, and meeting some of you guys. My wife and I will be camping out there, too.

Met ya at the gunshow earlier this year but it will be good to see you again :)

I won't be camping at the range as I live right next to it :D

mmm, may be last minute thing (understand that slots may be filled but would still learn lots watching). Friends from the loops staying with me this weekend so suppose have accommodation there if can manage the weekend off. Would be great.

Got my entry in today, Mark now has 2 full relays of people signed up so far. I think the max is 5 full relays which makes for a full day of shooting. As we now have 6 target boards, that means we can have 5 more people shooting this year as compared to previous years.

You're goin'?? ...great. I guess the best I can hope for is second place...bassturd.:D
AHEM.....WHO carried WHOM from the 600m mound to the shack? My ####ing shoulder still hurts!!!!
Plus.....I may just try my luck with my Norinco M14 this year. I think it would qualify into the F T/R class :D Hell....it's iron sites, and it came with a sling, maybe I can give the T/R guys a run for their money.

I'm in. Talked to Mark on the interweb and signed in. Got 3 new things to fool with after the 7 went south. Seen Henry a couple of times since Portland. Got 4 more things, should be good this time. No more nine ring guns this year....Ha! Going to Henry's again tomorrow. Get more things. Winfields are coming, trying to talk Kodiak into it. He got a new barrel too. No more big rings for him either.

Cheers, Glen

My Grampa is a member up at KTSA.. Wonder if he'll be competing.. Probably. If my XCR EVER comes in i'd love to go shoot. Odds are this will be full before it does tho. I'll probably be there spectating and cheering on my Grampa.

I Know Harold.... very nice fellow! He does not regularly compete that I know of, but he comes out to the range very frequently with Ron E. and both were out to our place in the spring for gopher shooting.

Both of them are quite the wine connoisseurs!

Give him my best!

I can not make this shoot as bad as I want to. The "other guy" that I share the work on-call list with, his brother is getting married that weekend and he already has it booked so ... I have to carry the cell to cover him and in our line, if VTAM or TCPIP goes down(and we are responsible for it) I could not logon remotely so I have to be within 10 minutes for a driving into work... Maybe I could call in DEAD eh - hate it when work gets in the way for matches :(

Just broke in my new barrel too (84 rounds today) and she really wants to shot. I just used the loaded 105g Lapua Scenar rounds on the 6XC brass with 38.6g of H4350 (after seating the bullets way way down, back to were they should be, so they are about 15 thou in the lands) that I did not fire at DRRC and she shot great, really great, like 1/2 moa or better. There was a hiar of vert still so maybe a few tenths more powder. Velocity was way up too, like 3115 ave with the 30" vs the old 27.5" barrel. Just have to tune the load into a .25 moa or better group now and I will be "singing".

Brent,

Give Mark a call @ The Powder Keg 554-3425. Tell him to put your name down and you can always get taken off the list if you can't make it due to scheduling issues.

Brent, can you land in Kamloops say, the Friday afternoon and feign bad seafood illness? You know what they say about airplane food.

Cheers, Glen

I talked to Mark this evening and thus far the Farky is SOLD OUT. If you didn't get your name/money in already you are too late. I think he makes a standby list incase someone has to cancel but not 100% sure on that one.

Richard, sounds like KTSA might have to look at making things 10 targets wide as well as longer. Either that or start at the crack of dawn and quit after supper. It's a shame so many have to be turned away. It's always been a well attended event.

Cheers, Glen

With the extra target frame we put in this year we allowed 5 people more than previous years but I agree it is very popular and could probably fill another 4 frames.

As for going longer, I too wish we could stretch out 600m or more but alas I don't think it's going to happen in my lifetime. We were looking at putting prone positions at 500m or adding 500m butts (of course the positions would be the cheaper option over the butts) but the logistics behind the longer positions would mean having to close the regular shooting area while we shoot @ 500.
