Usually every year we have finished all of the venison in the freezer by June at the latest but this year I still have about 6 pounds of ground, a handfull of roasts (read band sawed deer necks for the slow cooker) and a few chops.
The question is is it still good? I have been travelling alot the past year and generally the venison doesn't make it out of the freezer unless I thaw it out(Kids and wife love it, it is just for some reason I harvested it so I have to cook it
).
I was thinking that if we get another deer I would add the grind from last year to this years grind and make sausages. Opinions would be appreciated.
