I was wondering if anyone knows what the FRT# is for the new 10/22CRR (compact with the 16" barrel)? Mine is registered as an "all weather". I would like to get it registered correctly.

Let me know here or via pm.

Thanks,

James

cfc will do that over the phone now

Yes, I know that, but the last time I tried to talk to the CFC on the phone ended up in a dead end. It was probably just the person I had at the time, who couldn't find the right description, but I was hoping to call them back with the number and speed things along. Hopefully.

I recently had this issue swapping parts between a CRR and a normal 10/22.

I swapped a barrels. One barrel was 16" the other 18.5"

It turned out that they are all under the same FRT so no changes were required at the registry.

I would be appreciative if someone else called and got the same answer though. You know how they are down there.

the number is 1-800-731-4000

10/22 Compact Rifle, 406mm barrel is listed as 35108-8. 35108 is the generic number for 10/22s, -8 is the 406mm barrelled variant.

FRT = Firearms Reference Table. An on-line or disc format catalogue of firearms. A firearm cannot be registered without a FRT number. In theory, every variation of every make and model of firearm is catalogued. New FRT numbers are created every time something new appears.

So the shorter-barrelled version has a seperate FRT listing?

Yes. There is a -number for each variation. The FRT attempts to list all variations with a unique number.
